DESCRIPTION: |  From the Nebrody Park you can have a sight of the Tyrrhenian coast. From Palermo to Capo d’Orlando it offers marvellous sunsets and delicate visions of the islands, and ancient abodes of the gods. In the heart of the Nebrody Park rises the Agritourism 'Oasi dei Nebrodi” and it is an ideal place where you can spend an unforgettable vacation among the green colour of the nature of the Nebrody, in close contact with art, archaeology, folklore and history. The vacation place has an availability of 20 beds with services, satellite TV, heating, swimming pool with solarium, and a restaurant with traditional cooking with selected local wines. Besides the overnight stay, the Agritourism is proposed to be a starting point to discover new tourist itineraries, in addition to those already known of the island.

The vacation houses San Marco D’Alunzio – Vacation between heaven and Earth
The vacation houses are in the old part of San Marco d’Alunzio with availability up to 35 beds distributed in one-room flats/two-roomed flats/three-roomed flats, all furnished according to the traditional Sicilian style.
Every room has TV, air-condition/heat, kitchenette with refrigerator and dishes, laundry service available and weekly changing of linens.
From the vacation houses you can enjoy an enchanting view. You will have a feeling to be suspended between the sky and the earth. You’ll have the Aeolian Islands in the background as a frame to an unforgettable vacation.
The area has shops, snack bar, restaurants, and locals, to delight with typical specialities of the place.
In the village, there is the presence of four museums:
Museum of the culture and the figurative arts, Parish Museum of sacred art, Brazilian Museum, Demological Museum De Menna.
The agritourism and the vacation houses are open all year. High season is between the 20th December and the 10th January, and between the 1st July and the 31st August, all weekends.

San Marco D’Alunzio
S. Marco d’Alunzio is a historical town 540 meters above sea level, located on the hills of the province of Messina. In the Greek epoch it was called Alontion, while in the Roman period it was called Aluntiu. The Normans called it S. Marco and in the XIX century, the name Alunzio has been added.
In the Nebrody Park, a well-preserved and protected environment, S. Marco is above all a city of valuable historical art.
The Temple of Hercules, built by the Greeks around the IV century B.C., is surely the most important monument for the historical-artistic point of view. It has probably been used for sportive activities in relation to the cult of Hercules.
It is important to know that San Marco d’Alunzio, during the Roman period, had a big economic importance, so much to coin money itself. It has also been the military fortress in the Norman conquest of Sicily. Passed by the royal state property to the baronial state property, San Marco also belonged to the Filangeris that had built numerous Churches to flourishing the cultural life. San Marco D’Alunzio is a very important centre and a point of reference for the researchers and supporters of the art. In this village of remote origins, these researchers find again the tastes of other times, archaic perfumes, characteristic and uncontaminated angles.
In various places of the town it is possible to admire breathtaking sights, to see a landscape that goes from Capo Milazzo to Monte Pellegrino (Palermo), and to enjoy the enchanting scenery of the impressive Aeolian Islands.
