LE CINQUE TERRE (the five lands) – National Park ( UNESCO)
Are five fishers villages (Monterosso-Vernazza-Corniglia-Manarola-Riomaggiore)- in the province of La Spezia, connected by trains, footpath and roads ( but the cars are not allowed inside the villages!). Strong hikers can visit all five villages in about 6 hr. The farmers of Cinque Terre worked ten centuries to create the terraced olive groves and vineyards .And the fishermen to build the coloured houses around the small harbours.
